   Donald J Henderson formed DJH Consulting, LLC in 2007 to
   engage in dynamic hotel development, asset management,
   providing operational services, and advising in the implementation
   of sales and marketing strategies for select clients in the  
   hospitality industry.
   Services are customized to the market and personalized for the
   select client to produce results and maximize bottom line profits.

Don enjoyed a successful 35-year career in the hotel business, starting as a management
trainee with the San Francisco Hilton in 1972. In 1975 he became affiliated with Hyatt Hotels where he was promoted to opening Director of Sales for the Hyatt Regency Dearborn. To gain additional experience in the hotel business, Don accepted the position of Executive Assistant Manager - Rooms Division and was further promoted to General Manager in 1982, opening the Hyatt Regency Flint. Following numerous general manager positions, Don accepted a transfer
to Hyatt Regency Houston in 1994, where he was promoted to Vice President and Managing Director. He left Hyatt at the end of 2006 to form DJH Consulting, LLC.

During his time in Houston, Don has been extremely active in the community. He is Chairman Emeritus of the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, where he served as interim President from January 2007 through October 2007 and helped to successfully hire a permanent President. He is Past Chairman, Life Member, and Lifetime Achievement Award Winner of the Hotel and Lodging Association of Greater Houston, President & Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Houston Downtown Management District, Board Member, Executive Committee member, and Chairman of the Culture Tourism Collaborative for the Greater Houston Partnership, Secretary and Founding Board Member of Houston Children’s Charity, Chairman and Vice President of Houston’s Local Organizing Committee for the 2016 NCAA Men’s Final Four Basketball Championship, as well as Board Member and Special Events Chairman for the Meineke Car Care Bowl of Texas played at Reliant Stadium.
